Greensboro, NC -- Being afraid of the playground bully is a memory that many people share.
But these days the "playground" is so big, some kids can never get away from the bully.
Even something as simple as doing homework in their own bedroom doesn't mean kids are safe from bullies.

These days, he and his friends are just as vulnerable at home online as in school.

With the rise of the internet comes the rise of bullying at a distance. It's just as hurtful as old fashioned threats in the school cafeteria or playground.
For many teenagers instant messaging is a way of life, a tool to coordinate activity schedules supplement online games and get their homework done.
But it opens them up to bullies hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.
